# Projects

Create a project, publish its public landing page, and keep its details current.

A project is the top of the hierarchy. Zones, work activities, diary entries and subcontractors all
belong to exactly one project.

## Creating a project

**ToolboxFM › Projects › New project** — a name is enough to start. You can fill in the rest later
without affecting anything already created.

## The public landing page

Every project gets a public page at a short token address. This is the page you print as a QR code and
put on the project gate.

It is designed to answer a visitor's two questions — *what is happening here?* and *who do I call?* —
without exposing your organisation's data. Nobody needs an account to read it.

The page lists the project's contacts, ranked. Who appears on it depends on the role a person holds and
whether they have a mobile number recorded, so the card is populated from your people rather than
maintained by hand.

## Who can see a project

Someone with the **Head Office** role sees every project. Everyone else sees the projects they hold a role
on. There is no separate "share this project" step — assigning a role *is* the share.

Project-level administration — creating, editing and deleting projects — is organisation-wide, not
per-project. It is held by the Head Office role.
